The fans of USC need to become fans of LSU. They need help in their search of another crystal football this year.
Here is why: Alabama is undefeated and so is Penn State. USC has a weak strength of schedule. Penn State’s remaining opponents are weak. So USC needs a two-loss SEC team in the SEC championship game, and they need it to win.
Florida is not going to lose before the SEC championship game. That leaves the SEC West; Alabama needs to drop two of the rest of its games. The games remaining on Alabama’s schedule are LSU, Mississippi State, and Auburn. LSU has the best chance of beating the Tide.
In 2003, the Trojans were awarded the AP championship. This is the only time in the BCS era that the AP did not agree with the final BCS ranking. That is the year Nick Saban’s LSU Tigers won the BCS.
USC followed by winning the BCS in 2004. LSU won another BCS trophy last year, the only school to win two. If USC wants to beat Saban, now with Alabama, to a second trophy, it needs LSU to win.
This is assuming that Texas Tech drops a couple of games, too. That is very possible.
So get your winter coats, it is snowing in Hell.
