Sir Alex Ferguson Denies Report of Agreement with Wesley Sneijder
According to a breaking news story from the Associated Press and Fox News Latino, Sir Alex Ferguson has denied reports that Manchester United is interested in buying Wesley Sneijder from Inter Milan.
Ferguson made his declarations before ESPN Soccernet Press Pass.
Ferguson further said that he was reading about a $56.8 million deal between Manchester United and Inter Milan from various reports. Ferguson added that Inter Milan was not interested in releasing one of their principal players.
The same reports commented about Inter Milan willing to trade Wesley Sneijder for Javier Pastore. Inter Milan reiterated what Ferguson said about the Sneijder deal between the Serie A Club and (Manchester) United.
According to the reports that linked Sneijder with Old Trafford, David Gill (chief executive for Manchester United) was in Milan attempting to broker a deal with Inter Milan. The offices of Manchester United replied with a declaration that Gill was in Zurich to attend a reunion of the European Club Association.
ESPN published a report which includes the response of Wesley Sneijder. Sneijder (who is under contract with Inter Milan until 2015) denies that he wants to leave the Serie A club. It remains to be seen if the rumor persists about Sneijder, Inter Milan and Manchester United.
