According to UFC.com, it's now official; Tito Ortiz will step in on short notice to face off against Rashad Evans at UFC 133.

The UFC went into a desperate scramble looking for a new opponent for Rashad. Originally the fight was offered to Tito, but he declined, which did not surprise many people.
The fight was then offered to Lyoto Machida, who also declined, based on too little time to prepare for the fight.
Apparently they came back around to Tito, and must have thrown a lot of money at him, as he has now accepted the fight.
Rashad and Tito first met back in 2007, and fought to a three-round draw. Tito was deducted a point for grabbing the fence during the fight.
Tito's last fight saw him submit Ryan Bader in the first round and salvage his career in the process. A win over Rashad would be huge for Tito.
The UFC 133 Fight Card now looks something like this.
- Light Heavyweight Fight: Rashad Evans vs. Tito Ortiz
- Light Heavyweight Fight: Rich Franklin vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira
- Light Heavyweight Fight: Vitor Belfort vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama
- Middleweight Fight: Jorge Rivera vs. Alessio Sakara
- Welterweight Fight: Rory MacDonald vs. Mike Pyle
