WWE News: Huge Backstage Hype for Money in the Bank PPV
WWE News: What Do Current WWE Stars Think About the MITB Build?
Generally speaking, the build to a WWE pay-per-view is the main determinant in how well the show does in terms of WWE PPV buys.
If there is a lackluster build heading into the show, then fans typically won’t buy it. If there is an intriguing and entertaining build for the show, then fans will reach a little deeper into their pockets and fork over the 50 bucks to purchase the PPV.
And, in my opinion, the build for Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view has been nothing short of phenomenal.
Hell, even the WWE superstars agree.
According to PWInsider, “It’s said that the WWE roster and crew members are looking forward to the Money in the Bank pay-per-view as much as they look forward to a WrestleMania or other major, exciting event. The recent happenings between CM Punk and John Cena is the hot topic within the company.”
Can’t say I blame them.
While I was interested in Wrestlemania 27, there was nothing about it—yes, even The Rock’s appearance—that was going to blow me away.
But, when it comes to Money in the Bank, I can’t stop thinking about what’s going to happen.
Who will win the two MITB ladder matches? Will Christian finally beat Randy Orton to regain the World Heavyweight Championship?
Will CM Punk defeat John Cena? Will a Money in the Bank winner cash in? Is this really Punk’s last night with the company?
Truth is, I have absolutely no idea what’s going to happen on Sunday.
Sure, I can speculate and make educated guesses about how the pay-per-view will play out, but when it boils down to it, I’m completely clueless.
But, you know what? I like it.
As a wrestling fan, there’s nothing I love more than not knowing. It makes everything more exciting.
And, just like the current WWE stars, I can’t help but feel like Money in the Bank has the aura of a Wrestlemania.
I’ll even go on a limb and say that it will be better than Wrestlemania and every other PPV of 2011.
Yep, I’m expecting big things on Sunday.
