Top 10 Catfights in Women's Wrestling History
Being a women's wrestling fan for nearly a full decade now, one of the things I can say I've always enjoyed is seeing some realistic animosity between the ladies outside of the ring.
One of the easiest ways to show this animosity is by fighting no holds barred on their own time. Well, their kayfabe own time.
"Catfights" are one of the simplest and most entertaining ways to get people's attention on a women's wrestling feud, and they're one of our biggest guilty pleasures!
The following are the top 10 in history:
10. Dawn Marie, Jackie Gayda
After claiming to have an affair with Jackie Gayda's husband, Dawn Marie finds herself in need of a doctor.
It only got worse from there, as endless catfights ensued between the two ladies until their feud ended at Armageddon.
9. Dawn Marie, Michelle McCool
Toward the end of Dawn's career, she seemed to be peeved that the new girls were taking her spotlight.
But she took special interest in one future history maker—Michelle McCool. Don't believe me?
Well then, watch her pick a nasty fight in the video to your left.
8. Sable, Torrie Wilson
The only reason this catfight is on the list is because of how hilariously catty it was.
It shows just how male-dominant WWE management really is with the lines given to the ladies. "Stripes make you look fat!"? OK.
I might not agree with the fact that most of their women's feuds are typical "jealousy" storylines, but this was still a hilarious trainwreck nonetheless.
7. Layla El, Kelly Kelly
Another year, another jealous Diva. This time it was none other than our favorite English Muffin, Layla El.
The argument this time was about Playboy Magazine. The acting was subpar, at best, but it made for some hilariously bad television.
P.S. Was I the only one thinking "ghet-to!" when they started grabbing things at the end?!
6. Mickie James, Tara
Now here's a catfight with a story to it!
For once, a fight wasn't based on jealousy, but simply because the two competitors wanted to rip each other to shreds!
This was more of a brawl, to be honest. But what do you expect when you have two ring veterans like Mickie James and Tara going at it?!
5. Melina, Jillian Hall
This backstage fight kick started quite the entertaining feud between one Jillian Hall and Melina.
This was back when Melina was "the most dominant Diva" of Friday Nights, and Jillian was fired. The Latina Lovely offered her former image consultant a job, but Jillian didn't exactly take it too well...
4. Mickie James, Melina
After defeating Maria earlier in the night for a title shot against then-champ Mickie James, Melina made it her duty to let it be known that James' reign would soon be coming to an end.
What ensued was pretty brutal...
3. Luna, Sable
Probably the most relevant battle of managers in women's wrestling history came back when Sable was still on WWE's radar, and the amazing Luna was still thankfully with us.
They were building Sable up to be their first hot girl who could also wrestle, otherwise known as a WWE Diva. And boy was it working!
Sable was crazy over at the time, and this feud was as well! Just take a look at how wild the fans got when these two clashed.
2. Lita, Trish Stratus
Heading into Wrestlemania 18 Trish and Lita teamed together but unfortunately lost due to a miscommunication. Miss Stratus, being the apologetic woman she is, decided to let Lita know it was an accident.
The fiery redhead took her kind words, but let her know there would be no accidents at the pay per view when they faced off. A few back and forths later and these two were beating the living hell out of each other!
Do yourself a favor and watch it all play out for yourself.
1. Stephanie McMahon, Debra
This had to be the best catfight broadcast on television!
The catty dialogue and fantastic acting on both ladies' parts was just to entertaining! It helped push their men's feuds and made for one hell of a TV moment!
Hope You Enjoyed!
