Liverpool Bringing Sierra Leone to Merseyside
Sky Sports reports that Liverpool leads the chase to sign Teteh Bangura and Mohamed Bangura, the dangerous duo from Sierra Leone currently embarrassing Swedish league Allsvenskan.
Not that Liverpool needs more attacking prowess, given the January signings of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, as well as Dirk Kuyt’s superlative goal scoring efforts, but there it is.
Playing for Swedish side AIK, Teteh scored 14 goals in 14 appearances in 2011, while Mohamed has managed 11 goals in 26 appearances for the club since joining in 2010. All told, they scored a combined 25 goals last season.
Despite sharing a surname, the two are unrelated.
