Caroline Wozniacki is the No. 1 tennis player in the world and has plenty of guys that want to date her.
So when she was spotted eating lunch with the hottest golfer in the planet in Rory McIlroy—the Internet was set ablaze.
Two of the most successful athletes in 2011 together? It's a match made in heaven and their relationship is going to be all over the tabloids in no time.
This comes after Rory decided to call it quits with is long time girlfriend. Are the two moves correlated?
Chris Chase of Yahoo! Sports talks about McIlroy's relationship his his ex-girlfriend:
After winning the Open, McIlroy cited his girlfriend of four years, Holly Sweeney, as one of his influences. He said she knew him better than anyone else and helped keep him grounded. McIlroy had broken up with her before the start of the 2011 season in order to focus on golf but later "begged" her to get back together. McIlroy released a statement on Monday saying he and Sweeney broke up sometime before this last weekend's British Open.
A few flirtatious tweets between the two are another sign that these two young super-stars are cooking up something.
Rory is 22 and Caroline is 21, so I'm sure they have plenty in common. Aside from the typical musing that go on between two in this age group, they can talk about what it's like to be insanely famous world wide at such a young age. They can also talk about what it's like to dominate the best players in the world that are up to almost twice their age
As for Rory's ex...it's over.
I'm sure you are beautiful and full of personality...but you can't compete with the best tennis player in the world.
Game. Set. Match.
