NFL Rumors: Texans RB Arian Foster’s Injury Bad Omen for Fantasy Football

Fantasy football players beware: Houston Texans running back Arian Foster is already preparing to disappoint and break your hearts.
For all of those looking to entrust their fantasy season on a one-year wonder Houston, do yourselves a favor and stay away—far, far away.
The first bad omen against Foster as a top fantasy selection is the fact that we’ve seen this story time and time again. Yes, Foster was better, but we’ve seen Domanick Davis and Steve Slaton emerge as top fantasy runners only to disappoint mightily the next season.
Then, Foster’s lead blocker Vonta Leach bolted from the playoff contending Texans to the Super Bowl contending Ravens. He is looking to surpass his incredible breakout season of 1,616 yards and 16 touchdowns without the top run-blocking fullback in the game.
Now, he is already showing that he may not even stay healthy this season.
“Foster may have pulled something. He's on the field but not carrying the ball anymore,” according to Houston Chronicle’s John McClain on Twitter.
You may want to put your fantasy fate in this man, but I’ll pass on him if I’m in the top six of any fantasy draft. He’s simply not worth the headache this season as we’ve seen this same story time and time again. He is nothing more than another man in the line of up-and-down Houston Texans running backs.
He already has three bad omens leading into the fantasy season, are you willing to take that chance? As enticing as it will be to choose him on draft day, do not give in to the urge! You must fight it at all costs.
Always keep in mind of body of work when playing fantasy football. Foster does not have it, nor does the history of Texans running backs. You’re paying a top five pick for a man who absolutely took the league by storm this season. Do you think he’ll duplicate or surpass his 2010 MVP-type numbers this season?
If you are bold enough to believe he will and are willing to tempt the fantasy football Gods—by all means go for it.
Me? I wouldn’t touch him. I will not give in to the Arian Nation.
