After 375 days of not pitching in the major leagues, Dontrelle Willis is set to make his MLB return with the Cincinnati Reds, against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Willis, who possibly has the most unique pitching style the MLB has seen recently, was having a good season in Triple-A Louisville. He went 5-2 with a solid 2.63 ERA.
Willis, the 2003 National League Rookie Year of the Year and a two-time All-Star, is back for his 190th career MLB start.
In his career against Milwaukee, Willis is 3-2 with a 2.65 ERA. For many, this is a highly anticipated return. Let’s hope Willis can impress.
