Don Cherry, host of CBC's "Coach's Corner," which appears during the first intermission of the network's weekly Hockey Night in Canada broadcast is a popular, but polarizing figure in the hockey world.
Almost everyone that has witnessed one of Cherry's diatribe's on his topic du jour has an opinion on the man. Cherry has his detractors, mostly in regard to his outspoken and sometime controversial political views. Cherry also has his supporters as evidenced by his being voted as the seventh Greatest Canadian on the 2004 CBC program, The Greatest Canadian.
We're not here to take Cherry to task for some of the more outrageous statements he has made during his tenure on "Coach's Corner," instead we will take a look at 17 of his most outrageous suits. Enjoy!
Pink Flamingo
As with many of the suits that will follow, I have no clue what is going on here, we'll call this one the John Water's special since it bears a striking resemblance to a pink flamingo.
Bad Wallpaper
When I look at this one, it just looks like bad wallpaper that screams, "cover me up!"

The above is a reference from Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein, to which Marty Feldman's Igor responds, "Too late."
Flowers or Fireworks?
I know these are flowers, but from a distance you could see this as a walking fireworks display.
Rose Garden
Mr. Cherry, "I beg your pardon," please do not bring me a rose garden.
I Have No Idea
The colors here seem like they would be better suited for some type of throne.
Bud Light
If Cherry is looking for an endorsement deal with Bud Light Lime, well, he has the perfect suit for the commercial here.
Care to Guess the Holiday?
Not too hard to figure out what holiday Cherry was celebrating with this one, wear this one down to the pub and drinks are free on St. Patrick's Day.
Wow
This one appears to be just some random patterns thrown together on a brown backdrop.
Don Cherry Like Flowers
Don Cherry likes flower-based suits, as we have seen previously. With this one we see Cherry up the ante with a suit that is totally covered in flowers.
Checkered Flag
Cherry crosses some type of line with this number.
Bad in Plaid
Sometimes plaid is bad, this is one of those times.
Purple Rain
Prince called, he wants the number of your tailor.
Nothing Fancy
The style is understated (for Cherry), but the color, yeah, that's a bit much. Maybe adding flowers to this one would just be too much?
No!
The blue and white checkered flag is used as a nautical flag to indicate "no." I could not agree more.
Cartoon Mobster
This number looks like something a cartoon mobster would wear or some kind of strange ice cream man.
The Grand Finale
If you can tell me what is going on with this one please do. Just way too much, even for Cherry.
Props: doncherryjacketwatch for many of these pics
