Although the future looks unclear for UFC bantamweight Urijah Faber at the moment, there is a challenger who is expecting to square off with him.

Miguel Torres has recently expressed interest in a bout with the former WEC featherweight champion, which he said is a matchup that might not hold the same anticipation as it did a couple years ago, but it still is an exciting fight for the fans to watch.

"All the momentum we both had, we kind of lost. That fight is still one fans want to see, but I think this fight a couple years ago would have been a lot bigger," Torres said in an interview with ESPN.com, courtesy of MMATorch.com.

Both fighters have suffered their respective setbacks as of late. Faber has come up short in his fourth consecutive title bout, losing to Dominick Cruz at UFC 132, while Torres was defeated by Demetrious Johnson. Torres said it makes sense for both competitors to fight.

"Now, there's only bragging rights," he said.

"He's coming off a loss. I'm coming off a loss. He's had four title shots since then."

However, if the UFC is unable to schedule a matchup between them, Torres is interested in another bout with Brian Bowles. Bowles is the only person to give Torres the first knockout loss of his career, and Torres said he wants revenge.

"That's a fight I've wanted for the past two years. He's the first guy to ever knock me out and take my title. It's a grudge match for me," he said.
