Darnell Dockett Proves PETA Still Searching for a Funny Bone
If PETA is watching the animals, who is watching all the jokes that are getting innocently murdered at their hands?
A couple of days ago, Cardinals defensive end, Darnell Dockett, tweeted some exploits he was having from Holiday Park in Florida.
As many NFL fans know, Dockett is a bit of a card. This cut-up even recently tweeted a tumultuous traffic stop as if it was a live blog.
One of the tweets from Holiday Park showed Dockett with a Crocodile named Nino. You can take a look at the Twitter madness here.
His assertion that he bought Nino riled the folks at PETA something fierce. They sent him a diatribe that laid out just what Dockett was up against. You can read that ridiculous madness here.
What PETA failed to realize in their huff to scold yet another person who seemingly hurt an animal was that Dockett was joking. You can't purchase an animal at Holiday Park. He was simply there to enjoy the wildlife. You know? Appreciate the animals.
Instead, he is lambasted like he just stole a unicorn and forced it to perform parlor tricks for his buddies. So you can now expect a Twitter fallout.
Dockett as already joked that he will pull a John Q if PETA comes between him and Nino, a reference to the very unfunny Denzel Washington movie.
Look, PETA does some great work. The are a necessary entity for a world that takes animals for granted, and often times abuses them, or worse. Sometimes though, they take the overzealous train two stops too far and get off in Crazy Town.
So I implore all you PETA lovers out there, stop sending Dockett letters. He is just one innocent man looking for love.
If we can't stick up for the huge linemen, then who will? Today, I start my people for the ethical treatment of Cardinals' players campaign. I hope you are on board.
If you are not, and in no way find this funny, I can now dismiss the PETA demographic from my future fans.
