The 2011 NBA free-agent class certainly isn’t as riddled with superstars as the one we saw last year, but there is definitely still some talent available.
In a league with an extremely shallow pool of good centers, this class features Tyson Chandler, Marc Gasol, Greg Oden, Nene and Samuel Dalembert. Each of those guys would be clear upgrades over what many teams in the NBA currently have at center.
There are also some intriguing shooting guards available as well. The Bulls need a two more than anyone, and Jason Richardson, J.R. Smith or even Tracy McGrady would be an upgrade over Keith Bogans.
Some other notable names on the market include David West, Carl Landry, Tayshaun Prince, Jamal Crawford, Yao Ming, Rodney Stuckey, Thaddeus Young, Jeff Green and Wilson Chandler.
Those are obviously just a few of the players available.
Right now, nothing can happen because we’re in the midst of what figures to be a pretty nasty lockout. Even still, there will still be plenty of speculation on where free agents may be headed once the NBA’s players and owners agree on a new CBA.
Stay tuned to this chain for info, news and updates on this year’s free-agent class.
