2011 MLB All-Star Voting: Roster Updates, Final Vote Candidates and More

The fans and managers have spoken, and the lineups and voting for the 2011 MLB All-Star game are complete—except for the final spot on each team. Fans have voted for the starters and the managers have picked the reserves, and that means it is now back to the fans to pick the final All-Star for both the American and National Leagues. 

Paul Konerko, Victor Martinez, Alex Gordon, Ben Zobrist and Adam Jones are eligible in the American League. The National League candidates are Andre Either, Todd Helton, Ian Kennedy, Michael Morse and Shane Victorino.

As for the players in already in the game, the starting lineups feature a lot of turnover. Seven players—Adrian Gonzalez, Brian McCann, Curtis Granderson, Alex Avila, Matt Kemp, Rickie Weeks and Jose Bautista—will be making their first All-Star game start. Only four starters—Derek Jeter, Ryan Braun, Josh Hamilton and Robinson Cano—from the 2010 All-Star game will be starting in 2011.

Alex Rodriguez leads all players at this year's All-Star game by making his 14th appearance.

The game is scheduled for Tuesday, July 12th at, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chase Field, in Phoenix, Arizona. Pre-game ceremonies will begin at 8 p.m. EST.
