MLB Home Run Derby 2011 Features 2010 Winner David Ortiz

David Ortiz won the 2010 Home Run Derby after smashing 11 home runs in the final against Florida Marlins' Slugger Hanley Ramirez.

Ortiz knocked out 21 home runs in the first two rounds and was dominant at the derby.  After the 2010 Home Run Derby, Ortiz had this to say to Fox Sports,

This is my fourth time, so I just kind of used the experience. I wanted to come here and make sure the fans enjoy what we do.

Maybe experience doesn't have as much of a factor in a Home Run Derby as it would in a World Series or any other playoff game, but experience of being on the stage and knowing what it takes to win could help Ortiz to repeat as the winner.

Ortiz will have a lot to go up against as big-time sluggers Prince Fielder and Jose Bautista will look to knock his off of his pedestal and claim the title.

To make things more entertaining, the contestants will be hitting gold balls valued at $149.99 retail value according to MLB.com.  There are going to be some lucky fans Monday, July 11th.
