Keane Looks to Be Keen on Making Another Keane Purchase
Few Irish nationals inspire more national pride than Robbie Keane. The Irishman has scored 51 goals in 108 games for his country and has scored another 210 during his career that has seen him spend time all over the place.
A recent article by Bleacher Report's very own Willie Gannon said more than most could say to prove how great of a player Keane truly is, despite being in many right places at the wrong time.
Most recently he went on loan from Tottenham, a club that at one time idolized the legend, to West Ham in hopes of regaining some playing time and some life for his career. The deal would have been made permanent if the Hammers had avoided the drop. But, alas, Keane is once again left in limbo.
He truly is not going to see the time he deserves under Harry Redknapp, but it is true that the initial £2million bid for him reported by the Daily Mail really isn't enough, even with him being out of the limelight, Keane is a quality striker when given the chance to be one.
A renewed offer, however, could be in the cards according to the Telegraph. It will most likely need to be in the range of £6million.
