Blackburn are in the midst of trying to turn around their club after a season in the lower that never should have spiraled out of control the way it did. After the sacking of Sam Alardyce, it seemed to be a sinking ship for weeks as the club plummeted into a relegation battle they never should have been in.
Steve Keane was then appointed manager and a last ditch effort in the closing months and then the closing fixture of the season luckily thwarted off relegation, but only did little to hide the problems with the club under Venky's, as the era of Jack Walker is truly over.
The future can only look bright if the new owners can rebuild the club from the ground up like Walker did in the past. They need to build a squad of solid players and professionals before they splash out million upon millions.
What is needed is good players, mainly strikers and up front to begin with, and then next window or season add a few more solid players.
It appears that those ideas could be in the mindset for them this close season as the rumors are suggesting some quality modest priced talent might be coming their way. The fee paid from Manchester United to Rovers for the services of Phil Jones could potentially land two or three players or more that Blackburn desperately need to start pushing back up the table.
With all that in mind, here are the rumors that have been circulating for rovers over the past week.
