Sir Alex Ferguson Preparing £30 Million Bid for Bastian Schweinsteiger
Caughtoffside has reported that Manchester United are preparing a £30 million bid for renowned Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger. United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has enjoyed a successful Summer so far, acquiring Ashley Young, David De Gea and Phil Jones for over £50 million. The Scot is now set to secure Schweinsteiger to immensely strengthen Manchester United's title challenges for 2011/2012.
The German is considered one of the best midfielders in World Football and many have longed to see the 26-year-old in the English Premier League. With the likes of Michael Carrick and Darron Gibson both set to depart Old Trafford, Ferguson has room to implement changes and views the Germany international as the prime replacement.
It is unclear whether Bayern Munich will accept the offer for their star play maker but at such a price the German giants could be likely before commencing immediate interest in Arsenal's Samir Nasri.
