Aston Villa Offer £5 Million Bid for Scott Parker but West Ham Want £10 Million
FootyLatest has reported that West Ham are willing to allow captain Scott Parker to depart provided a £10 million offer is given. However Aston Villa manager Alex McLiesh has launched a £5 million bid for the Englishman despite the relegated Hammers in desperate need of funds.
Parker enjoyed a stellar campaign despite West Ham enduring a horrific season which as previously mentioned concluded with relegation the Npower Championship. The 30-year-old is viewed as one of the best midfielders in the English Premier League and is in high demand following the Hammers' troubles.
A tireless worker and creative play maker, Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal and of course Aston Villa have all been linked with moves for the England international but a permanent deal is yet to materialize. Tottenham were the favourites to secure Parker's signature but manager Harry Redknapp was unwilling to pay the £70,000 a week wages.
Aston Villa manager Alex McLiesh has launched his £5 million bid but it is destined to be declined by Sam Allardyce.
