Dustin Pedroia, who I, affectionately call, "the Little Big Man". Weighing in at a 180 pounds and stands 5 feet 9 inches tall has successfully proven those skeptics WRONG!
You can't make it in major league, kid, you're too small. Dustin heard these words echo in his mind each time he took the field and every at bat. Dustin could be asking those skeptics, how do you like me now?
Pedi has demonstrated he is major league material with a batting average of .326, 17 HRs, 83 RBIs, 20 stolen bases, for 157 games with only 6 errors. Go ahead and tell Dustin Pedroia it can't be done.
Now that the season is over, this tenacious second baseman will be receiving some hard earned recognition. He has already been nominated for TYIB (This Year in Baseball) Hitter and Defensive player of the year and chosen for the TSN All Stars.
What does Dustin Pedroia have in store for us next season? More spectacular plays at second base and some phenomenal at bats. Stay tuned for this extraordinary player to do extraordinary things.
