Andrew Bynum Finally Gets Contract Extension With Lakers

Finally! That is probably the first thing that came out of Andrew Bynum's mouth Thursday as the Los Angeles Lakers agree to a contract extension with their big man just one day before the deadline.

It isn't the max deal that maybe Bynum and his agent might have expected, but it is definitely a big chunk of money for the youngster. Bynum was on his way to making big time money last season, but after the season ending knee that he suffered last season the Lakers aren't taking any chances.

The contract is worth about $58 million dollars over the next four years that Bynum which is worth about $42 million in the first three years with the fourth and final year of the contract worth $16 million.

Not a bad pay day for a kid that just barely turned 21. Andrew Bynum will make $2.8 million this season.
