Vince Wilfork has been fined, but not suspended, for his big hit on Jay Cutler. Apparently, video evidence showed there was no intent to injure Cutler, so the suspension wasn't handed down.
I've seen the video and I agree. He was doing his job, trying to hit the quarterback, and he did. It really didn't look malicious. But my opinion matters not: it's the NFL's opinion that matters and the commish & co. agree that there was no intent.
But if there was no intent, why fine him?
