UFC welterweight contender Carlos Condit was only 21 when he competed in the 2006 Rumble on the Rock Tournament. In the opening bout of the tournament, he took on top-five ranked fighter Renato Verissimo. The unranked "Natural Born Killer" knocked him out in just 17 seconds.

His next bout would be against the former UFC welterweight title challenger, Frank Trigg, in the semifinals.

Trigg had been coming off of his two losses to Matt Hughes and Georges St-Pierre but he did have a win over Ronald Jhun in the first stage of the tournament and was still ranked among the best welterweights.

It didn't take long for Trigg to get Condit to the ground, but it ended up being worse for him as Condit snatched up a triangle-armbar one minute into the bout, forcing Trigg to tap.

Condit would go on to fight Jake Shields in the finals, but came up short and lost a unanimous decision. It was one of the few times Condit has been to a decision.

Of his 31 bouts, he has only been the distance three times. He has 12 knockout victories and 13 submission victories on his record.

"NBK" will be in action this weekend and taking on the undefeated Korean fighter Dong Hyun Kim (14-0-1) at UFC 132.
