Victoria Beckham: David Beckham's Wife Denounces 4th of July Birth Rumors
It would have been a good story if Victoria Beckham gave birth to her fourth child with English soccer star David Beckham on the Fourth of July, which just so happened to be the couple's 12th wedding anniversary.
But rumors that Victoria was expecting on Independence Day appear to have been false, the former Spice Girl calling the reports "rubbish" on Monday.
There had been reports that Victoria had booked a Cesarean section surgery at a Los Angeles Hospital on Monday, and that it wasn't long before the newest Beckham arrived into the world, kicking and screaming.
But Victoria was adamant that the rumors were misguided, as the Beckhams' spokesperson told the UK newspaper The Daily Mail:
"The rumors are rubbish, Victoria has not had the baby but she will be giving birth soon.
"Contrary to certain reports, David and Victoria Beckham's baby is not due today and that was never the case."
Rumors, which primarily spread via Twitter, even detailed the alleged baby's name was Felicity Beckham and she was 5 pounds, 8 ounces.
The couple already has three sons: 11-year-old Brooklyn, 8-year-old Romeo and 5-year-old Cruz. They moved to L.A. when David transferred to the Los Angeles Galaxy in January 2007.
This will be the couple's first daughter.
I'm guessing she'll either be a pop star or a top soccer player.
Victoria also tweeted on June 30 that "David has been downloading music for our baby! Rockabye baby lullaby renditions, so cool! Love The Beatles album!!!"
Or maybe she will become the next Yoko Ono, who knows.
But apparently the Beckham baby won't be hearing "Free As A Bird" anytime soon, because she's not free yet.
And she certainly won't be celebrating Independence Day.
