Chuck Liddell: The Iceman Loses Decision in Custody Battle
Chuck Liddell a No-Show at Custody Hearing in L.A.
Former UFC legend Chuck Liddell got hit hard by an L.A. judge on Monday after he didn't show up to a custody hearing centered around his 12-year-old son, according to TMZ.com.
Liddell, who has been battling with his ex Lori Geyer for months in efforts to obtain custody of their son, was a no-show in court on Monday, and he paid the price.
He was ordered by the judge to pay $6,000 per month in child support because of his absence, and was also fined $2,500 for failing to produce financial documentation.
Liddell's lawyer reportedly claimed that Liddell didn't show because "(Lori's) attorney failed to provide notice in an attempt to obtain favorable decision."
Geyer's attorney, Brian Kramer, countered that he has proof Liddell received notice and, "(Liddell's lawyer) had no valid excuse to boycott these proceedings."
In the fight of his personal life, Liddell is not faring so well, and he's certainly not winning over any judges.
It looks like Mr. Liddell has a long fight ahead of him, and he's currently loses this decision.
