Last night at UFC on Versus 4, Matt Mitrione continued his MMA rise after knocking out Christian Morecraft.

The former NFL player is now 5-0, winning four of his fights by knockout.

Some believe Mitrione needs to fight top 10 competition now, while others believe his climb should continue to be slow and steady.

Either way, the sky's the limit for Mitrione, and here are some fights he should take next!

Winner or Loser of Brendan Schaub vs. Minotauro Nogueira

Taking on the winner or loser of this fight would be a step up in competition for Mitrione.

Schaub is a fellow TUF 10 alum who has improved in every fight since his battle with Roy Nelson.

Despite Nogueira not being the fighter he once was, he is still tough and could be a true test to Mitrione.

A win over Nogueira would also give Mitrione a win over a big name in the sport.

Dave “Pee Wee” Herman

Dave “Pee Wee” Herman earned fight of the night honors in his first UFC fight by defeated dangerous BJJ artist Jon Olav Einemo by TKO at UFC 131.

Herman is a guy like Mitrione, who is willing to stand with just about anybody.

This exciting fight would be good for both guys to see where they stand in the division.

Mike Russow

Russow may not look like a dangerous fighter, but the Chicago native is on a 10-fight winning streak and has only loss once in his career to Sergei Kharitonov.

Russow is a tough fighter to put out and would be a way to test Mitrione’s power.

Russow is as dangerous on his feet as he is on the ground and should not be a fighter to overlook.

Cheick Kongo

Kongo and Mitrione are both coming off of knockout wins.

Mitrione did not encounter much trouble in his, while Kongo was hurt badly before he knocked out Mitrione’s teammate Pat Barry.

Although Mitrione was looking to earn a knockout of the night award, Kongo's come back may have earned him one of the best knockouts of the year.

A win against Kongo would be a huge boost for Mitrione and a way to avenge the loss of his teammate.
