This wasn't the All-Star break Alexei Ponikarovsky was looking for.
Ponikarovsky will be out of the Toronto Maple Leafs' lineup for tonight's rematch against the Washington Capitals.
The lanky left winger dislocated his right shoulder in last night's thrilling 3-2 Leafs victory against the Capitals.
Ponikarovsky will be out of commission for up to six weeks.
This season he had registered 13 goals and 10 assists in 45 games.
The injury marks the second time Ponikarovsky has been sidelined this year. In late November, he missed four games with a groin strain.
The NHL All-Star break will be held this weekend in Atlanta. Forward Mats Sundin and defenseman Tomas Kaberle will be the Leafs' representatives in the festivities.
Regular season action resumes on Tuesday.

Sundin isn't going to the ASG, Kaberle is their only rep.
I think he should go, but I have heard some talk from a few different people saying that Sundin quietly requested that he didn't want to go to the game, instead choosing to take few days off to rest.
