Hope Solo May Still Have a Boyfriend Afterall

The women of the U.S. World Cup have arrived onto the shores of stardom. It is not often that soccer players reach this level in America—it happens about once every 12 years for the women. But this current group has undeniably broken down that door.

I know because their relationship status has now become a buzzing topic. This is a sure sign of stardom. A person has undoubtedly arrived when their boy/girlfriend becomes a google buzz term. Case in point: Hope Solo's boyfriend. In the realm of popular culture Adrian Galaviz is not Adrian Galaviz but Hope Solo's boyfriend. Or is it ex-boyfriend? It had been widely reported (myself included) that the pair had split up. The reports were based on this bit of news via :PlayerWives.com:

The two were dating in 2007, but by 2010, Hope was more than happy to announce that she was single.

The reports undoubtedly sent a legion of men to Germany in hopes of winning over Ms. Solo. Well, you may want to cancel those travel plans gentlemen. Reports of their relationship demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Bleacher Report's Matt Faulconer blew the lid off of this relationship story:

However, that [Hope and Adrian's break up] does not appear to be the case, as evident by Galaviz's appearance in Germany. The picture of Galaviz in the stands comes to us courtesy of Galaviz's cousin, Tyler Ancira.
It appears that Galaviz and Solo do not want their relationship to be a public distraction and prefer to keep to themselves. Mr. Ancira, per a recent twitter post, indicates that Solo and Galaviz have a terrific relationship and that she attended the funeral of Galaviz's father who recently passed away,
"Well hes my cuz, she was at his fathers funeral recently, they r very much together, hes in germany with her now."

There you have it, folks. It appears that the reigning queen of women's soccer is not only deflecting the best shots that the world of women's soccer can throw at her, but also the hearts of any men attempting to date her.
