CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio took on John Cena and Zack Ryder in the main event. Cena and Ryder picked up the win.
We open the show with Jerry Lawler, Josh Matthews and Michael Cole on commentary. They talk about Raw Roulette tonight and how unpredictable it will be.
Shawn Michael's music kicks and the fans go crazy. HBK makes his way down to the ring and grabs a mic. Shawn says that it is good to be back in the WWE. He says that tonight is Raw Roulette and it will also be the first round of the Money in the Bank qualifying matches.
Shawn continues to talk until CM Punk interrupts him. Punk says that HBK needs to stay out of the ring before he hurts himself. Punk then says that he wants Shawn to make him the No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank. Shawn starts to talk when Alberto Del Rio comes out and tells Punk that he didn't lose to John Cena and therefore should get a rematch.
Shawn says that both men have valid points and can fight it out tonight in a No. 1 Contender's Match for the WWE Championship. The men stare at each other and Shawn heads back stage as we go to commercial.
Shawn pops up on the Titantron and tells the men that he will spin the wheel to see what kind of match they will compete in. The wheel is spun and it lands on "Over the Top Rope." The first one to throw their opponent over the top rope will be the winner and qualify for the Raw Money in the Bank.
The bell rings and the match begins. Kozlov quickly grabs Truth and headbutts him a few times. Kozlov then hits a running shoulder block and a suplex on Truth. Truth stumbles to his feet and dodges another shoulder block. Truth hits a DDT and tries to pick Kozlov up and throw him over.
Kozlov fights him off and throws him against the ropes. Kozlov picks up Truth and throws him over the rope but Truth holds on. Kozlov thinks that he has won and turns his back on Truth. Truth gets back in the ring and grabs Kozlov. He throws him over the top rope and qualifies for the match.
Shawn Michaels is backstage and he spins the wheel. The wheel lands on "No Disqualification Match." We hear a laugh and realize that Drew McIntyre will be competing in the match. McIntyre tells Shawn that he will win the match and he will be better than Shawn ever was.
He calls Shawn a washed-up has-been. Shawn tells McIntyre that he would rather be a has-been than a never-was. McIntyre gets angry and takes a swing at Shawn. Shawn dodges it and hits a Sweet Chin Music on Drew. Shawn tells him to "get in the ring because your qualifying match is next kid."
Rey Mysterio comes out first and he gets a good reaction.
Drew McIntyre is out next and he is holding his jaw, selling the Sweet Chin Music he received earlier.
The match starts off with Mysterio connecting with a few kicks and then a hurricanrana that sends McIntyre to the outside. McIntyre slams the steel steps and picks up a steel chair. He runs into the ring but Mysterio lands a kick to the chair which hits McIntytre in the head. Mysterio goes for the pin but gets only a two-count.
Mysterio then goes to the top rope to hit his finishing splash. Mysterio takes off but Drew grabs the chair and hits Rey in the chest with it. Drew then puts the chair around Rey's leg and begins to go to work on his limb. McIntyre stomps on the chair and then locks in his Figure Four leg lock on the ring post. Mysterio is in pain and McIntyre breaks the hold to go for a pin.
Mysterio kicks out at two and McIntyre removes the turnbuckle cover and goes over to Rey. Mysterio has grabbed a kendo stick and when Drew grabs Rey's leg, Mysterio cracks him over the head with it. Mysterio then hits Drew with a hurricanrana and Drew lands in a perfect place for the 619.
Mysterio calls for it and goes for the finishing move. Mysterio hits it and goes to the top rope for his finishing splash. Mysterio gets up on the turnbuckle and does not see Mason Ryan come out of the crowd. Rey takes off but Mason Ryan gets in the ring and hits Rey with a huge clothesline in midair. Mysterio seems to be broken in half when Ryan picks him up and hits a powerbomb.
McIntyre stumbles to his feet and picks up Rey. He hits the Future Shock and gets the pin. Drew McIntyre has qualified for the Money in the Bank match.
Jack Swagger makes his entrance and gets fair heat.
His opponent, Alex Riley, makes his way down to the ring.
Shawn pops up on the screen yet again and spins the wheel. The wheel lands on "Submission Match." Jack Swagger smiles and the match begins. Swagger and Riley lock up. Swagger throws Riley off and taunts the crowd.
Riley slaps Swagger in the face and then kicks him in the gut. Riley goes off the ropes for a clothesline but Swagger hits a drop toe hold on him. Riley is down and Swagger quickly goes for the ankle lock. Riley crawls away to the ropes before Swagger can lock it in.
Swagger tells Riley to "Get up and fight like a man." Riley gets up and connects with a right hand. Riley follows this up with a dropkick and then a big Spinebuster.
Riley locks in a Boston Crab but Swagger powers out of it. Swagger then hits a belly-to-belly suplex and a powerslam before going for the ankle lock again. He locks it in and Riley slowly crawls to the ropes. He reaches the ropes and makes Swagger break the hold.
Swagger stands over Riley and taunts him and the crowd. Swagger turns his back on Riley giving him enough time to hit a bulldog on Swagger. Swagger is face down in the ring and Riley goes for a submission move. Riley grabs Swagger's legs and locks in a Cloverleaf.
Swagger is in terrible pain and Riley is wrenching on his legs and back. Swagger taps out and Alex Riley earns a spot in the Raw Money in the Bank.
William Regal and Mason Ryan are backstage waiting for Shawn to spin the wheel. Regal tells Shawn that he is lucky that he doesn't get hurt for what he did to McIntyre. Michaels spins the wheel and just when it gets to "Partners Are Banned from Ringside," Shawn "accidently" coughs and bumps into the wheel and makes it stop on it.
Shawn acts innocent and plays it off with a big smirk on his face. Shawn and Regal stare at each other and Shawn acts like he is going for a Sweet Chin Music. Regal flinches and Shawn laughs again. Shawn tells Regal that Mason Ryan's match is next. He will fight ALONE, or he will forfeit his match.
Shawn leaves while Regal and Ryan look at each other angrily.
Mason Ryan makes his way out alone. He is getting ready to compete when Shawn interrupts him. He is on the Titantron again but this time he has a different wheel. It is a wheel that will be spun to decide Mason Ryan's opponent.
The only problem with the wheel is that every slot says "Shawn's Choice." Shawn spins the wheel and acts surprised when it lands on "Shawn's Choice." HBK tells Ryan that he will go one-on-one with this man...
Kofi Kingston's music hits and he makes his way to the ring. The match begins with Ryan charging Kingston. Kofi is too quick for the big man and slips out of the way. Kingston lands a big kick to Ryan's head and then hits a standing elbow drop.
Ryan gets up and pushes Kingston into the corner. Ryan goes for a turnbuckle spear but Kingston jumps up to the top rope just before Ryan hits him. Ryan goes shoulder first into the steel ring post. Ryan stumbles out of the corner and Kingston launches himself from the top rope; he hits a Crossbody and goes for the pin. He receives a close two-count.
Kingston sets up for the Boom Drop but Mason Ryan moves out of the way. Ryan then picks up Kingston and hits a huge powerbomb followed by a clothesline. Ryan has that angry "Batista" look and is ready to finish off Kingston. Ryan walks over to Kingston and lifts him up for another powerbomb. Kingston slips out of it and rolls Ryan up for the three-count.
Kofi Kingston has qualified for the Raw Money in the Bank!
Mason Ryan is furious and storms off as we head to commercial.
CM Punk is out first and he gets great heat.
Alberto Del Rio is out next and gets equally good heat.
Before the match can begin, Shawn must spin the wheel to determine the match type. Shawn spins it and it lands on "Special Guest Referee." Shawn wonders who he can get to be the guest ref. John Cena walks in and tells Shawn how great it is to have him back on Raw. Amazingly, Cena already has on a referee shirt. Shawn says that John Cena will be the special referee. Cena laughs and makes for the ring.
Cena's music hits and he comes out to referee the match. Cena calls for the bell and the match begins.
Punk and Del Rio lock up and Del Rio gains the upper hand. He sends Punk into the turnbuckle and goes on the attack. Cena makes him back out of the corner. Punk then kicks Del Rio and puts him in the corner. Again, Cena steps in and makes him back out.
Punk pushes Cena away and goes for Del Rio but he gets hit with an uppercut and then a dropkick. Del Rio goes for the pin and gets a two-count. Del Rio argues with Cena that the count was too slow. Cena tells him that it was a fair count. Punk gets up and connects with a dropkick of his own and hits a DDT. Punk goes for the pin and also receives a two-count.
This time Punk gets up and complains that the count was slow. Cena tells him that he is wrong and Punk pushes Cena again. Del Rio grabs Punk's arm and hits a move targeting his limb. Del Rio then locks in a submission move and tells Punk to tap.
Cena asks Punk if he wants to quit and he says no. Del Rio breaks the hold after a few seconds and pushes Cena out of the way. Cena has had enough of the pushing and constant yelling between the two men.
Del Rio locks in his armbar finisher on Punk. Cena rolls out of the ring and begins to sign autographs. Punk taps but Cena isn't in the ring to call it. Del Rio breaks the hold and yells at Cena to get back in the ring.
Cena gets back in the ring just as Punk hits a GTS. Punk goes for the pin but when he turns to see if Cena is counting the pinfall, he sees that Cena is by the announce table drinking water.
Punk gets up and yells at him to get back in the ring. Cena tells Punk that he is thirsty. Cena gets back in and starts to argue with Punk. Punk goes to hit Cena but Cena hits him with an AA. He then hits Del Rio with an AA for good measure. Cena counts a very quick 10-count and calls the match a draw.
There appears to be no No. 1 contender until the Raw GM chimes in. The GM says that now both Punk and Del Rio are the No. 1 contenders. The GM says that he will take care of Cena next week. Cena doesn't care about what the GM has to say and leaves the ring.
We go backstage to the Roulette room where medical personnel are helping Shawn Michaels. He is down and appears to be unconscious. The EMTs and trainers are calling for an ambulance and for more help. They are getting a neck brace on him and are trying to get a response from him.
The stretcher arrives and they prepare to put Shawn on it. They lift him up and take him into the back of a waiting ambulance. The EMTs go past the locker rooms and go out into the parking lot where the ambulance is. They load Shawn into the ambulance and close the doors.
As the ambulance leaves the arena, we see William Regal, Drew McIntyre and Mason Ryan. They all have big smiles on their faces and say that Shawn deserved everything he got. Regal then jokingly tells Mason Ryan that maybe the third powerbomb he gave Shawn was too much. They all let out a sinister laugh as we close the show.
This concludes My Monday Night Raw.
