New York Yankees Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira will join other star athletes such as LeBron James, Michael Phelps, Lamar Odom, Drew Brees and Ryan Howard as athletes who have made an appearance on HBO’s hit show Entourage.

Both Yankees play themselves on the HBO show, where the story depicts them as investors in Queens Italian restaurant Don Peppe, which Jerry Ferrara’s character, Turtle, attempts to bring to Hollywood.

This sounds a lot like when Turtle tried to get Mark Cuban and other athletes to invest in his tequila company last season. This is what happens when a show is at the end of its rope. They repeat storylines and overload the show with cameos.

Entourage is entering its eighth and final season.
