Cincinnati Reds: Reds Top 2 Prospects Represent Team in MLB Futures Game

The young core group the Cincinnati Reds have really is impressive.  Yes you know all about Joey Votto, Jay Bruce, Drew Stubbs and Chris Heisey. 

Those of you who are not as familiar with what the Reds have in there Minor League System are going to have a chance to see what else this team has to offer for the future.

Devin Mesoraco, the 2007 first-round pick, and 2008 first-round pick Yonder Alonso will both represent the Reds.  Mesoraco a Catcher who is really starting to come around and is the Reds game plan for the future Catcher will be making his first appearance in the annual Futures Game and will give everyone the chance to show why he was dubbed by some This seasons Buster Posey.

Yonder Alonso is making his second straight appearance in the game.  Alonso last season was playing First Base but lately the Reds have had other plans for the power hitter. 

With the great success of Joey Votto, Alonso has been playing Left Field for the Louisville Bats where his is hitting north of .300 and has all Reds fans and Front Office very excited about what he has to offer.

Also playing in the game you will see current member of the Washington Nationals and last season's first overall draft pick.  Another name that jumps out is Julio Teheran of the Atlanta Braves organization.  Teheran is a very exciting pitcher who has a lot to offer the Atlanta Braves organization.

If you're a die-hard Baseball fan the Futures Game is always a fun game to watch.
