NBA Draft 2011: The Phoenix Suns Select Defensive-Minded Markieff Morris

The Phoenix Suns just selected Markieff Morris, and they get a defensive-minded power forward who can stroke it from deep. Markieff has the potential to be a very good fit in Phoenix, and he should slide into the backup power forward spot behind Channing Frye.
The Suns could have gone with the more offensive Marcus Morris, but they went with defense first and they could really use it. Morris should bolster the second unit and the Suns should be improved on the defensive glass.
As a Suns fan, I'm really excited the team went for a defensive-minded player, and hopefully this signals more focus on the defensive end. The team has a couple good defensive players and they really need to put effort into that end of the game, even if that means they don't score as much.
