Liverpool Transfer Rumours : Raul Meireles on His Way out of Anfield?
The Daily Mirror has reported, that Portuguese midfielder Raul Meireles could be on his way out of Anfield in order to allow manager Kenny Dalglish to have more funds in his transfer kitty to spend on new recruits this summer.
Meireles had a purple patch in the second half of the season and seemed to be cementing his place at Liverpool and looked as if he was to be one of experienced players in the squad that would be setting an example for the youngsters. But it appears that Dalglish seems not to be too unhappy to let him leave.
With the arrival of Jordan Henderson, central midfielders at Liverpool are now quite plentiful and a guaranteed first team place is almost impossible for any of them.
If Liverpool were to allow Meireles to leave, they will look to recover all of the £11 million investment that they made and most probably make a profit, as the Portuguese international has had a successful first season at Liverpool.
