Liverpool Transfer Rumours : Conor Wickham Latest
Liverpool's pursuit of one of English football's hottest young talents, Conor Wickham continues as reported by the ESPN Soccernet website and the Daily Mirror.
Kenny Dalglish is determined that the Ipswich Town striker will be a Liverpool player at the end of the day, despite a tug of war between the Reds and other clubs, in particular Sunderland.
The Black Cats have now made a formal bid for the England U21 international striker who has been dubbed as the next Wayne Rooney. Wickham made his debut for Ipswich in April 2009 at the tender age of 16 years and 11 days, making him the club's youngest player ever.
Dalglish will make a renewed offer for Wickham's service, confident in the knowledge that the England youngster would prefer a move to Anfield over any other. Other Premier League club such as Arsenal, have also been monitoring proceedings, but it now seems a two way fight between Liverpool and Sunderland will decide Wickham's fate.
