Georgia Tops LSU, 52-38

Bleacher ReportAnalyst IOctober 25, 2008

Mike The Tiger shed great tiger tears as he realized that LSU will probably not head to the BCS National Championship Game this year, all that they can do now is to cheer for an SEC team to win the championship which will make an SEC team a national champion three years in a row with Florida beating Ohio State in 2006 and LSU beating Ohio State last season.

Today, in Tigers Stadium, the Georgia Bulldogs gave the Tigers a two loss record. Last year they won the championship after finishing at 11-2 on the season but due to the competitiveness in the SEC this year, it is not likely that another 11-2 team would go to the big game even if the Tigers won the rest of their games this year and with Alabama coming up the week after next, nothing is certain.

On the first play of the game, Jarrett Lee gave the ‘Dawgs a 6 point present, throwing an interception to a Georgia player which was returned for a 40 yard touchdown.

After a touchdown on the first play of the second quarter, LSU was down, 21-7 but by halftime it was 24-17 with Georgia in the lead.

Stats are not available at this time.
