11. Golden State Warriors
Bismack Biyombo is another prospect in the 2011 NBA Draft that is receiving a lot of attention.
Long and super athletic with a wingspan like a Golden Eagle, Biyombo is potentially a defensive powerhouse in the making.
He is a good rebounder but an excellent shot blocker and plays well in the post.
The thing is, he’s not complete when in comes to offense. He’s a capable dunker, but he doesn’t really have any offensive ability.
He can’t shoot and isn’t the type of player to actually expect to score more than an occasional put back or tip in perhaps.
But for the Golden State Warriors, he won’t need to do that. If scoring machine Monta Ellis is still around, then Biyombo is a great fit to protect the rim in light of any turnovers that might occur on the offensive side.
The Warriors also have Stephen Curry and David Lee who are more than capable of carrying any offensive load that could be expected from Biyombo, especially when he provides the defense that the two lack.
