2. Minnesota Timberwolves
If Kyrie Irving is a runaway favorite in this year’s 2011 NBA Draft, then the 2011 Mock NBA Draft has Derrick Williams behind by only a hair.
Williams has impressed all with his ability to play inside out and his powerful finish around the rim.
He’s a smart player and a tough competitor who has the ability to play at either the small or power forward positions.
However, Williams is small at the power forward position, and much like Josh Smith of the Atlanta Hawks, he walks the line between power and small forward.
Possibly because of this, Williams’ seemingly set position at number two is being dangled around by the Timberwolves, who are entertaining trade offers with various teams.
Williams however, told Sporting News, “Hopefully whatever team picks me wants me to stay, that's how I look at it.”
He doesn’t seem overly concerned with it, so why should anyone else? Expect him to still be taken number two.
