Hmm..... should I give whatever Odemwingie wants?
Hmm..... should I give whatever Odemwingie wants?

Another day passes by, with more transfer news, speculation, rumors and headlines surrounding the Gunners. Without further ado, here is the Arsenal Transfer News Roundup.

Odemwingie Unhappy With Arsenal Offer

In a report by the Daily Star, a "source close to the player" stated that West Brom forward and Nigerian international, Peter Odemwingie, who had an impressive debut season scoring 15 goals, is disappointed with the personal terms offered by the Gunners. The report also claims that Odemwingie might favor a move to Arsenal's North London rival, Tottenham. In my opinion, if this is true, then obviously the Gunners aren't too keen on him and don't rate him that highly.

To be honest, I also am not too keen on seeing him as a Gunner. Yes, he had a good season, but if Wenger is willing to go for strikers like Falcao, Eto'o, or any other quality striker, then I would go for those types of strikers.

Also, while Odemwingie has had one good season, remember Benni McCarthy? McCarthy had one excellent season where he was scoring goals for fun, then his career went downhill after that. Basically, in my opinion, Odemwingie isn't a player that the Gunners should be going after.

Roma to Make An Offer For Clichy
Clichy? Interesting, Roma.

There are many reports filtering out, stating that Roma will make an offer to sign Gael Clichy. The report states that Roma will try knocking down the Gunners' asking price of £10 million, by including Montenegrin striker Mirko Vucinic in the deal. However, it seems that the Gunners would want cash upfront, so that sort of a deal seems unlikely.

I honestly would like to see Vucinic as a Gunner. He has great technique, a strong character and plenty of skill, and is good in the air and a difficult player to mark. But his main problem is consistency, if he can improve in that aspect then he can be an excellent signing for the Gunners, if Wenger wants him of course.

Concerning Clichy, if he doesn't want to stay, then he can leave. But Wenger needs to find a quality replacement if that happens. Leighton Baines would be the best option, in my opinion.
