Philip Rivers is quite arguably one of the best new young quarterbacks out there right now. Sure he does have a wimpy-looking throw and on a team with a 3-5 record right now, BUT his stats are most excellent. Sixout of his last eight games, Philip has a passer rating of over 100.00 and four of those are over 120.4. He has 19 touchdowns, only 6 interceptions, over 2,000 yards passing and a RTG of 107.8. Philip has had only two bad games, but don't we all? A quarterback can only do so much to help his team win games. Philip can't play defensive back or fill in for Shawne Merriman. 4 out of those 5 loses were directly related to defensive problems. That last game which was week 2 is not a "L" or a "W", but a "R" for robbed. Philip Rivers is consistent and is dealing with a team full of injuries.
