So, the 2011 US Open is in the Record Books, and we were treated to a wonderful effort by Rory McIlroy, who stayed with his now-trademark Blue throughout the whole tournament.

I've been following each round of the tournament from the standpoint of who followed the old adage "Dress for Success ..."

The flip-side of that is to point out who did not "Dress for Success ..."

So, here they are:

Y.E. Yang in the Final Round

If you followed my round-by-round articles, you know that I thought quite highly of the shirts Y.E. wore, and I love Red trousers—but that shirt, even by my standards, was absolutely hideous.

Y.E. dropped from a firm 2nd place for the first three (3) rounds to a tie for 3rd, shooting his worst round in this shirt that looked like he was wearing his pillow-case.

Keep the other shirts, Y.E....lose this one !!!

Fredrik Jacobson Wears the Same Outfit Two (2) Days in a Row

Now, there might be a reason for this, like lost luggage .. .a clothing sponsor who deserted him ... or something I have not heard about, but in today's fashion world, no one wears the exact same outfit on the golf course two (2) rounds in a row.

I didn't like it in Round #3 and it didn't strike my fancy in Round #4. It worked for him in Round #3 but his score ballooned by seven (7) shots in the Final Round wearing the same ensemble.

Jacobson finished tied for 14th, down from a tie for 6th.

He did not "Dress for Success ..." !!!

Matt Kuchar in the Final Round

I like Matt. I have followed him since his Georgia Tech days. Andy North predicted he'd win the US Open.

No one ever told Matt about three (3) colours and that's it, unless of course your school has more than three (3) colours, which is rare.

Matt has Brown, White, Grey, and then the Red hat.

Lose one colour, Matt, please!!!

Matt dropped from a tie for 6th to a Tie for 14th.

He did not "Dress for Success ..." !!!

Henrik Stenson in the Final Round

Henrik looked great in his Red shirt and Pure White trousers.

I have to ask, however—where did that Khaki belt come from ???  Ya couldn't find a Red or White one ???

I know you own one because you wore a White belt on Friday and Saturday.

Henrik dropped from a Tie for 10th to a Tie for 23rd.

He did not "Dress for Success ..." !!!

Brandt Jobe in the Final Round

All I can say about this ensemble is ...

No ... No ... No !!!

Brandt dropped from a Tie for 10th to a Tie for 23rd.

He did not "Dress for Success ..." !!!

Rory Sabbatini

Rory is one of those guys fans either love or hate ... or is that love to hate ???  Dressed like this, he will never conjure any more fans from fashionistas.

Rory, you might reside in Texas, but the faux cowboy hat looks wrong ... as wrong as Black on the golf course, anytime!!!

Rory finished tied for 30th.

He did not "Dress for Success ..." !!!

Bubba Watson

I'm told that Bubba wore this ensemble to honour our Troops ... if that is true, then I have nothing but praise for him, but if it is not...

Bubba finished tied for 63rd...

He did not "Dress for Success ..." !!!
