Michigan Sings the Blues
Do you think your team is having a down year? Take a look at the Michigan program and you will feel much better about your team. After coming across a website dedicated to firing Rich Rodriguez, I thought it would be a good idea to show fans that it could be worse (unless you are a Wolverines fan). Take a look at www.firerrod.com and you will find out why it is tough to be a Michigan fan.
At one time, Michigan was one of the elite programs. The program is filled with history and tradition but none of this wins games today. The Wolverines are 2-5 under first year head coach Rich Rodriguez.
Although the expectations were not set high, I assume Michigan fans at least expected to beat teams like Toledo. Also, they lost to Michigan St last week which was considered to be their “little brother” at one point.
If you take a look at www.firerrod.com there is a countdown to when Les Miles' contract is up. There is over four years left to Coach Miles contract, but when a fan base is counting down the end of another coach’s contract while only in the first season of a new coach’s contract it does not show much confidence in the program.
With the success of Michigan St this year, it will be that much harder for Michigan to recruit. I really like Coach Miles, but do not be surprised if he is on the Michigan sidelines in less than four years. Let’s be honest, contracts are not set in stone and if the money is there and the time is right a contract does not mean anything.
