An own goal from Drew Moor combined with a scorching shot from Juninho has given the Los Angeles Galaxy a 2-0 lead heading into the break at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado.

A corner from the Rapids’ Sanna Nyassi in the 44th minute was cleared by Juan Pablo Angel and Chris Birchall, and Omar Gonzalez also forced a touch from Conor Casey. A free kick from Juan Pablo Angel in stoppage time was easily deflected.

So far, Los Angeles have had decent possession, but will need to build on it because this is a Colorado team capable of coming back from a margin like this.
