I am not so sure, top to bottom, that the ACC isn’t the SEC’s equal at this point in the season. I mean, Duke did go into Nashville and beat Vanderbilt. The SEC is clearly better at the top, but after LSU there is a huge drop-off to the rest of the conference right now.

Here is how I would rank the ACC & SEC together.  I realize I still have Vanderbilt ahead of Duke, but I feel between 15 (Vandy) and 22 (Tennessee) there is not a lot of difference between these two teams.

Combined ACC & SEC Rankings

1. Alabama
2(tie). Florida
2(tie). Georgia
4. LSU
5. Florida State
6. Virginia
7. Maryland
8. North Carolina
9. Virginia Tech
10. Georgia Tech
11. South Carolina
12. Ole Miss
13. Boston College
14. Miami
15. Vanderbilt
16. Kentucky
17. Wake Forest
18. Clemson
19. Duke
20. Arkansas
21. Auburn
22. Tennessee
23. Miss State
24. NC State

I think the SEC is still the better conference of the two, but only because of their top three or four teams being so strong.  If you take out the top four of each league and match them up head to head, I think the ACC would have the advantage.
