The Philadelphia Phillies Made Me Care About Baseball Again

Since the post-steroid era of baseball, in my opinion, baseball has become a boring sport. Baseball was interesting when Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa were knocking them out of the park, but over the last few years, games began to drag.

Who really wants to see a 2-1 game, and honestly, how exciting can a perfect game really be. I don't know about you, but I want to see high-scoring games. I want to see home runs and double plays. Basically, I want to see a baseball game that has the same amount of excitement as a football game, and that is what the Phillies bring to the table.

This whole season, night in and night out, the Phillies brought their "A" game, both offensively and defensively. I can't get enough of watching them. About two years ago, I all but gave up on the sport, until I watched a Phillies game while I was waiting for a flight.

I can't say that I was hooked right away, but they held my interest. Over the last two years, the excitement of their scoring and solidness of their defense made me continue to turn in. Now, they are on the eve of winning the World Series and already, I'm looking forward to seeing them next summer. The Phillies turned me into a baseball fan and made me care about the sport.
