Timberwolves Select Donatas Motiejunas No. 20
Donatas Motiejunas is a huge seven foot power forward. He’s exactly what the Timberwolves need. Odds are, the Timberwolves are going to come with some off the wall, high risk pick that doesn’t work out.
If they elect to come away from this draft better than they entered it, for a change, Motiejunas gives them some much needed length in their front court.
This pick is largely predicated off of their No. 2 pick. Trade rumors are swirling, but they may end up taking Derrick Williams. If they were able to lure Andrew Bynum or another big man of his caliber and bring in Motiejunas, they would have a decent frontcourt all of a sudden.
With Ricky Rubio finally making his way to Minnesota and the team in a position to make some progression, the Timberwolves’ season ticket holders have to be excited about what lies ahead.
