Jack Be Nimble...Jack Be Quick??

On October 22nd, the Milwaukee Brewers' Amateur Scouting Director Jack Zduriencik, was hired as the Seattle Mariners new General Manager

He started with the Brewers in 1999, the year of Safeco Field's inaugural game. Jack took them to where they are now. A Young team that is a top contender for the N.L Central because he made a lot of Key draft choices for Milwaukee. Acquiring such players as, Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, Rickie Weeks, Corey Hart, and J.J Hardy.

Jack also was involved in the signing of young Matt LaPorta, who was a key in the big deal for C.C. Sabathia. The Question is, how long will it take him to rebuild the Mariner's farm system? He spent 9 years in Milwaukee and produced 4 winning seasons, one with a post season trip.

It may take him time to build up the Minor League system in Seattle, but, it won't take long for him to straighten out our botched line-up. We all know Ibanez will be replaced, and Ichiro is unhappy, but maybe we can score a big trade with Beltre.

Zduriencik's 1st job will be to find a new manager, and also to talk to the players, and other staff to get their opinions on what to do with this ball club in the off season. It will be interesting to see what moves he will make for the preparation of the '09 season. We do know that Seattle fans are looking forward to a huge change, and a better year.
