The 49ers Offensive Line Has More Confidence in Shaun Hill

I find it very interesting that once Shaun Hill came into the game for the 49ers against Seattle the offensive line has played way better then they did for JT O'Sullivan. Maybe it's because Martz went to a more conservative play calling and not going for longer throws, but who knows?

I believe the offensive line never had any confidence in JT O'Sullivan. The only reason why O'Sullivan was even starting for the 49ers is because of working with Martz in St. Louis and Detroit. So, he won by the default because he's seen the offense before, but I believe no matter how well Hill or Smith threw in practice or in the preseason, Martz still would have chose O'Sullivan.

O'Sullivan's problems stem from his inability to take a sack and try to make something out of nothing. O'Sullivan makes poor decisions when throwing the football and leads to interceptions or fumbles because he refuses to go down and gets the ball stripped out of his hands.

Hill will be the starting QB after his showing today against the Seahawks and my only wish is that Singletary would have made that decision before the game not before the second quarter was done. Hill showed last year he could lead the team and he actually lead the 49ers to some wins even with one of the worst offensive coordinators in NFL history.
