Manny Pacquiao Looking to Become the New Air Jordan with Nike

Manny Pacquiao is already one of the most popular athletes in the world, and his popularity will only be growing as word of a possible meeting with Nike’s top brass comes out.

Along with his family, Pacquiao has come to America to vacation in southern California, but this trip is also about business.

Word from Top Rank Promoter Bob Arum is saying that Pacquiao will be meeting with Nike founder and chairman Phil Knight about a possible huge collaboration.

Arum says this collaboration would be along the lines of what Nike did with NBA great Michael Jordan and the Air Jordan line.

This is not only the best move for Pacman, but Nike as well. Pacquiao has an amazing international following, and this new line with Nike will open him up to even more fans.

For Nike, this is a great chance for them to become a huge product in Asia, even bigger that they already are.

With this possible agreement with Nike coming on the heels of news that a super fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather may be closer than thought, this could be a huge deal.

If Pacman goes onto win that fight and the pay-per-view sales are of the charts, Nike will look ridiculously smart and the money thrown around will be immense.
