NBA Trade Rumors Have Both Ramon Sessions and Baron Davis Being Shopped by Cavaliers
Given the ailing Cleveland Cavaliers appear set to draft a player in Duke's Kyrie Irving with the No. 1 overall pick who some are comparing to New Orleans Hornets' point guard Chris Paul, it's not exactly a surprise there are rumors the Cavaliers are shopping both Ramon Sessions and Baron Davis.
ESPN's Chad Ford wrote in his latest mock draft on Wednesday that the Cavaliers where shopping Sessions and Davis "hard."
So, that begs the question, who will stay and who will go?

I think if the Cavaliers get anything reasonable for Davis and his massive contract (owed $28.6 million for two more years), they jump at the chance, but, really, who wants to take on that contract, especially considering Davis is now 32 years old, has injury history and his production has declined on the court?
The more likely player to be traded is Sessions, who also believes he's a starter and will be entering his fifth season in the league next season.
And it actually might work out better for the Cavaliers.
When the Cavaliers draft Irving (does anyone really think they won't?), Davis, while his production is declining, might actually be a nice mentor for the young point guard. Davis has seen a good deal of success in the league (including that rousing upset of the Dallas Mavericks in the 2007 playoffs) and is a proven veteran who, despite his tendency to jack up wild jump shots, does understand the game from a point guard perspective.
You're actually looking at a pretty good situation for the Cavaliers even if they still have to keep Davis.
