NBA Trade Rumors Have Ramon Sessions Possibly Headed Out of Cleveland

Point guard Ramon Sessions has been in the league for four years now. He's 25 years old. And he averaged 13.3 points on 46 percent shooting, 5.2 assists and 3.1 rebounds this season for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But he's still not the starter in Cleveland; last season's acquisition, Baron Davis, is.

And it appears Sessions' time in Cleveland may be running out.

In his latest mock draft on Wednesday, ESPN's Chad Ford wrote the Cavaliers have been shopping Sessions "hard."

This Sunday, Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal wrote:

"Now 25 and a four-year veteran, Sessions believes he can start in this league. That doesn't appear likely to happen in Cleveland. Sessions' agent, Chubby Wells, hasn't asked the Cavaliers for a trade yet. That might change after the draft."

Indeed, Sessions, who was supposed to be the successor to Davis, now may see the Cavaliers draft top point guard prospect Kyrie Irving of Duke with the No. 1 overall selection in the upcoming draft.

If that happens, it would be hard to see him standing pat.

The Cavaliers could possibly get something good in return for Sessions, who isn't a bad player, but the problem is they won't have tons of leverage if they draft Irving. Teams will know Sessions wants out.

Nonetheless, it appears to be the beginning of the end for Sessions with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
